Not far into my radio career, I discovered my real
interest lay in writing and producing commercials. Radio not only gave me a
creative outlet, it taught me to write quickly,
concisely, and persuasively - and for a lot of different
businesses. (Producing my creative inspirations also
stretched me as a voice artist!) Many of the excerpts on
the demos are from projects I scripted.
As a voiceover artist, I
understand the differences in writing for the spoken
versus printed word. I think being a writer also helps
me get more quickly in sync with another writer's intentions
- conveying the thoughts behind the words, not just the
sounds of the words.
